How It Works (Step-by-Step)

The end-to-end user journey from input to automated output

Step 1

Input a local video file or paste a video URL, then select the source and target languages. Files larger than 2 GB are not accepted.

Step 2

Processing: VidDub generates AI translations and synchronized subtitles; optionally choose a voice to create natural AI dubbing aligned to the original speech timing. Customize single or bilingual subtitle display, style, placement, vertical offset, color, and size.

Step 3

Output: Review the translated video preview and, with credits, download the full video with burned-in subtitles and optional dubbed audio. Completed files are retained in the cloud for about 24 hours.

Is it free to try?

Yes. Each account receives one free preview. For videos up to 10 minutes, the preview shows approximately the first third; downloading the full result requires credits. Dubbing is not included in the free preview.

Who is it for?

It is designed for content creators localizing videos for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Shorts, and Reels.

How does it work?

Upload a video or import it from a link, select source and target languages, configure subtitles, and let VidDub translate and generate synchronized subtitles. You can optionally generate AI dubbing, then download the completed video.

What languages are supported?

VidDub supports 17 source languages and 18 target languages for translation. Traditional Chinese is available as an additional target language.

Does it provide lip-sync video replacement?

No. The dubbed audio is sped up or stretched to match the original speech timeline; it does not visually replace lip movements.
